DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Field Day at the HLM Test Property in Coleman\, MI. This field day will be led by Hunter Fodor – Hunters Land Management LLC to help you better understand the following topics: understory vegetation management\, ground scarification\, creating snag trees\, and utilizing coarse woody debris and brush piles for wildlife habitat. This will be a full outdoors event\, so please dress accordingly and be prepared for the weather (will take place rain or shine). Water\, snacks\, and bathroom facilities will be provided. Content is geared towards forest landowners\, loggers\, foresters\, and other natural resource professionals. DESCRIPTION:Michigan Forest Association will be hosting their inaugural Women Owning and Appreciating Woodlands (WOAW) Weekend at Camp Greilick (property managed by Grand Traverse County Parks and Rec) this summer. Join us on June 26 to 28 as we discuss forest management recommendations\, ecological properties of Michigan ecosystems\, and what it means to be a good forest steward. There will be numerous sessions hosted by an array of natural resource professionals to help cultivate learning\, community\, and fun. Come enjoy the camaraderie of summer camp with other women who love and manage woodlands. Attendance is capped at 60 participants\, meals will be provided\, and there are limited lodgings for those interested in staying on-site at Camp Greilick.
