In partnership with Michigan Department of Natural Resources Prescribed Burn Specialist GraceAnna Cooper, this workshop will explore the ecological benefits of prescribed burning and walk through practical considerations for implementing fire on your property.

This workshop includes a guided look at our managed prairie, along with comparisons between burned and unburned prairie areas. Participants will gain a better understanding of fuel loads, fire behavior, and how prescribed burning can be used to promote healthy, resilient landscapes.

Whether you’re new to prescribed fire or looking to expand your land management toolkit, this workshop offers valuable insights and real-world examples to get you started. This is a free workshop, but registration is required!
