    Tree Planting Workshop with Marquette County Conservation District

    Join MFA and MCCD to discuss how to plant and care for seedlings, and how and what to order from a conservation district seedling sale. We will also be creating the area's first Neighbor Network, a coalition of like-minded private landowners interested in helping each other with their tree planting projects and meet their forest stewardship goals.

Speakers include representatives from Michigan Forest Association, NW Invasive Species Network, and Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. We will discuss a variety of topics and will finish the afternoon with a visual forest management plan activity. Learn more about your local forest ecology and how to be a better forest steward.
